Diana Bracy

Gandhi by Diana Bracy

I am a Mixed Media Fiber Artist and love working with batik fabric.  My passion is creating faces from photographs that resembles a painting.  The process take 20 to 800 hours. Recently, my interest is in learning more about mixed media and applying the styles to my mosaic art.

I have discovered  small works of art  and love working with these little pieces. I am now making aceos, postcards and greeting cards.  Aceo are "art card editions and originals" and are always 2.5" x 3.5".  The post cards are also know as OSWOA or "original small works of art". They are original art that can be mailed just like a first class letter and is 4" x 6" and have become a popular way of collecting small works by many artists.  They can be framed and displayed on the wall or kept in special coffee table books.

“Drive a nail home and clinch it so faithfully that you can wake up in the night and think of your work with satisfaction,- a work at which you would not be ashamed to invoke the Muse”
-Henry David Thoreau

In our case, it would be the needle or other fiber tool. Drive it home! And, we all thank you for your words, left here to these good folks. Invoke your Muse!
